Join us on March 4 & 5 as professional BBQ teams from across the southeast descend upon University Station RV Resort in their decked out cooking rigs to compete for $12,500 in cash. This year’s Boda Getta BBQ is presented by the Auburn Rotary Club. Think you’re the tailgate master? If your answer is yes, we invite you to PROVE IT. Rally your friends and compete for the title “Best Tailgater in Auburn.” Place first and hear your team’s name announced during Auburn’s first home football game. Did we mention the ridiculously large trophy you’ll win to display at your tailgate next fall?If you think grilling is more of a spectator sport, bring your best tailgate chair and join us for a weekend of live music, food, vendors and good times.

PERSONAL (Individual)


$5 per person, per day. Admission to all entertainment and activities. Children 15 and under are free when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Purchase your tickets the day of the event at the gate.

TAILGATER (Amateur Teams)


This is a KCBS Sanctioned Event. KCBS rules will be enforced. There will be two separate competition categories (chicken and ribs). Teams may compete in one or both categories. A Grand Champion will be named and must be entered in both categories. Judging on Saturday, May 9th



This is a KCBS Sanctioned Event. KCBS rules will be enforced. There will be four separate competition categories (Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket). Teams may compete in one, two, three, or all four categories. To be in competition for Grand and Reserve Grand Champion, you must be entered in all four categories. 1st through 10th place will be awarded for each category, a Grand Champion will also be named

Boda Getta BBQ will be at University Station RV Resort, 3076 Alabama Highway 14, Auburn, AL 36832, on March 4th and 5th 2015. You'll find amateur and professional teams competing in a range of categories along with exhibits, kids zone and more.
  • Friday, March 4th - 5 to 11 pm
  • Saturday, March 5th - 9 am to 5 pm
Boda Getta BBQ will host both tailgaters (amateurs) and professional division teams from across the USA. Interested teams should register and complete an application to compete.
  • $200 registration for Tailgater (amateur)
  • $350 registration for Professional Division
  • KCBS rules will be enforced; this is a KCBS sanctioned event
  • Amateurs will compete in two categories (chicken and ribs)
  • Professionals will compete in four categories (chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket)
Boda Getta BBQ is a fun, family event! Even if you're not yet, "professional division", but you think you're a tailgate master - we invite you to PROVE IT. Rally your friends and compete for the title, "Best Tailgater in Auburn." If you win, your team will be announced during Auburn's first home football game. Are you a Professional?! Come join us in this Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event!
  • Tickets for individual attendees are $5 per person, per day, and children under 15 are free when accompanied by a ticket holding adult
  • Individual attendees with a ticket may bring their tailgate chairs to enjoy a weekend of live music, food, vendors and good times
Choose the Team level you want to compete in (amateur or professional), click the "register" button and complete and return the form with your payment. It's that simple. Since this is a KCBS sanctioned event, one member of the professional division team must be a member of KCBS ($35 fee). Once we have received your entry form, you will receive a list of the KCBS Rules and Regulations. Fires must be of wood, wood pellets or charcoal. No gas or electric.
